This can be done as homework. ____ Grammar/English. Complete the Figurative Language Worksheet that we started in class. You can use all of the chapters of Blood on the River you have read. Be sure to put explicit quotes and page numbers. ____ Writing: Group story (Narrative) – Finish the Sequence Chart and Paragraph outline for your narrative writing story. Use these tools to write your rough draft. Leave a space between each line for editing. ____ Achieve 3000 – Read and complete the article: “The Lost People” Activity and thought question. The Thought Question should be at least 2 paragraphs. This can be done as homework. Score on Activity: _________ (Link to Studies Weekly Here) ____ Book Club – Students are to work in their book club groups and complete the book they have chosen. (This book may be taken home as long as it is taken care of.) All Book Club assignments (8 Total) are due before track out. ____ Reading Response Journal – Continue reading in a book of your choice. Strive to read a minimum of 20 minutes a day. After reading write in your journal about what you have read. Do not write what is happening in the book, but rather your thoughts about the book. (ALL READING BINDERS WILL BE COLLECTED ON OCTOBER 21ST)
